About University
Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a private university and is located on the outskirts of Jalandhar, Punjab, India established in 2005, founded by late Sh. Baldev Raj Mittal.
Managed by our respected chancellor, Mr. Ashok Mittal, pro-chancellor, Mrs. Rashmi Mittal, and vice-chancellor, Mr. Ramesh Kanwar. It is the largest student campus university in India, spread over 600 acres, with more than 30,000 students, over 4000 faculty, staff, having a huge campus area. When we talk about LPU, one can say that it is having its own world. The campus is beautiful, provides numerous opportunities, offers more than 200 programs, having an amazing infrastructure.
LPU is ranked among the Top 200 universities of the world as per the Times Higher Ranking Impact Education 2020. Holding a number of records, the campus is full of uniqueness. With internationally benchmarked curricula, innovative pedagogy, experiential learning, and 200+ foreign tie-ups for equitable and affordable quality education, the University is poised to establish itself as a Centre of Excellence in Research.
Even in the time of lockdown, the efforts made by the university to provide student educational support is surely commendable.
Participation
The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) is a nonprofit foundation that works to improve the security of software. All of our projects ,tools, documents, forums, and chapters are free and open to anyone interested in improving application security.
Chapters are led by local leaders in accordance with the Chapters Policy. Financial contributions should only be made online using the authorized online donation button. To be a SPEAKER at ANY OWASP Chapter in the world simply review the speaker agreement and then contact the local chapter leader with details of what OWASP Project, independent research, or related software security topic you would like to present.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate in our Projects, Local Chapters, Events, Online Groups, and Community Slack Channel. We especially encourage diversity in all our initiatives. OWASP is a fantastic place to learn about application security, to network, and even to build your reputation as an expert. We also encourage you to be become a member or consider a donation to support our ongoing work.
