OWASP Bonita Springs
Welcome to the OWASP Bonita Springs chapter. This chapter intends to provide coverage to Southwest Florida in the greater Naples-Fort Myers area for all things OWASP-related and to raise awareness of web application, api, and mobile app security in the community along with providing relevant discussion on privacy and compliance issues.
Our next meeting is scheduled for April 6 at 6:30PM EST, and will be virtual only due to the current COVID-19 situation. Please see our Meetup page for details on how to join the virtal meeting. We will restart physical meetings as soon as possible and will continue virtual meetings until the COVID-19 threat is reduced. Please keep an eye on this space and our Meetup page. Our meetings are open to the public. Watch this page and Meetup for additional meeting announcements and event details.
The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) is a nonprofit foundation that works to improve the security of software. All of our projects ,tools, documents, forums, and chapters are free and open to anyone interested in improving application security.
Chapters are led by local leaders in accordance with the Chapter Leader Handbook. Financial contributions should only be made online using the authorized online donation button. To be a SPEAKER at ANY OWASP Chapter in the world simply review the speaker agreement and then contact the local chapter leader with details of what OWASP Project, independent research, or related software security topic you would like to present.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate in our Projects, Local Chapters, Events, and Community Slack Channel. We especially encourage diversity in all our initiatives. OWASP is a fantastic place to learn about application security, to network, and even to build your reputation as an expert. We also encourage you to become a member or consider a donation to support our ongoing work.
