OWASP Board Meeting — July 16, 2019

• Marissa is taking over closing the books. The reports will be sent out the Friday before the Board meeting.
• $939k revenue
• $600k short to budget
• Expenses are lower than budget
• Chapter budgets are holding at $1m
• Receivables are at $324k, which is up but that is because we are selling
• Still have the issue of the splits
• Some reasons for the numbers are:
  • The two big events are towards the end of the year
  • local and regional events this year did not due as well as expected
• Tom to give an analysis report of year to year - conference revenue vs. conference expenses
• Full financial package - $980k cash, $300k receivables
• We are holding the same as the last several months

Resolved that the OWASP Foundation annual Corporate Member Dues be set according to the yearly revenue of the member at USD$25,000 for organizations greater than USD$100 Million, USD$15,000 for organizations between USD$50 Million and USD$100 Million, and $5,000 for all others. Up to USD$2,500 of Corporate Membership Dues can be credited to a Corporate Sponsorship. This change is effective August 1, 2019.

• Richard - I believe there should be an intermediate term
• Ofer - $5k - $25k to big of a jump
• Owen - is this based on global revenue
• Ofer - this might be an issue with companies with different entities
• Richard - I am always in favor of a % credit instead of a fixed price.

Mike - Resolved that the OWASP Foundation's annual Individual Member Dues be set to $50. Individual Members living in developing economy nations may qualify for reduced dues. Effective January 1, 2020, a person must be a member to hold a leadership position on any OWASP Chapter, Committee, new Project, or be a Director. While maintaining openness and transparency, from time to time OWASP will extend benefits only to its members.

• Honorary Membership process will change since you have to be a paid member to be a Leader
• Any new Leaders must be a member
• Considering Lifetime Honorary Membership after long standing
• Mike is going to put together a more detailed proposal for the Board to review.
• Discuss the possibility of a price increase of Individual Membership

• What is the status of the website initiative?

• In reference to the website all the information is listed on the Staff Projects on the wiki. It is currently about a week and a half behind schedule
• I hope to be able to show you a sample in the upcoming week.
• Big issues are the switch over of data
• In reference to AWS, Harold is waiting for a response on the pricing.
• Talking with Simon Bennetts to be the initial person to test it. That would be for the ZAP price.
