Welcome

Welcome to the OWASP Riga Chapter!

We are a local community of application security practitioners, developers, security engineers, students and anyone interested in making software more secure in Latvia and the broader Baltic region. This chapter exists to share knowledge about application security, secure software development and related security topics through free, vendor-neutral community events.

The Chapter Leaders are Andrey Gubarev, Jurijs Rapoports and Vladislavs Kolosovs.

What we do

OWASP Riga organizes community-driven activities around application security, including:

  • Meetups with technical talks and case studies
  • Hands-on workshops and demos
  • Knowledge sharing on AppSec, DevSecOps, cloud and infrastructure security
  • Networking for local security, engineering and IT professionals

Everyone is welcome to participate – from students and beginners to experienced practitioners.

Call for Speakers

Call for Speakers is open.
If you would like to present a talk at a future OWASP Riga Chapter event, please:

  1. Review and agree with the OWASP Speaker Agreement.
  2. Submit your talk proposal via email.

We are especially interested in topics such as:

  • Application and API security
  • Secure software development and DevSecOps
  • OWASP projects and how to use them in practice
  • Cloud, container and infrastructure security
  • Threat modeling, offensive security, testing and tooling
  • Incident response and real-world case studies

Both full-length talks and shorter lightning talks are welcome.
